My favourite thing about this shot is the background. Lovely as the close up is, the vibrancy of colour, the way you can practically feel the ‘bristle’ of that orange centre, I adore the way the eye is taken along into the distance of more and more more… (your garden?)
What glorious close-up spiky detail here and then the petals spreading out like a ballerina’s satin skirt. Beautiful.
