Happy making photo indeed! And so peaceful with all the soft pastel colours and the furry curious cat providing a nice contrast to the geometric lines of the railing. Definitely a “I could be there” photo Ally!
Thanks, Alli. I’m so glad you like it. One of those rare moments when the opportunity presented itself, and I had my camera handy.
LOVE the colours, the shades of blue, the triangles and squares, and the cat’s obliviousness to it all… because of course cats see things beyond the simple beauty we see. But I’m curious… is all of this photo magic (two pic spliced together, top and bottom)… or real life magic wherein the umbrellas and red roof top lined up perfectly. Of course I’m hoping it’s the latter. Either way, magical…!!! One of my faves of yours.
Carin, thank you. I played with the colour to brighten it up, because originally the cat wasn’t as visible as I wanted him/her to be. The resulting shades look a bit surreal, but I like them. The composition is completely natural — it’s one shot. We were sitting at an outdoor restaurant at the resort, and the cat was peering in at us with those gorgeous green eyes that said, “I’m going to hypnotize you till you feed me.”
Oh, this is absolutely fabulous. I love it so much! The colours, the parasols, the geometry, the cat – just completely perfect. It made my day!
What a magical picture, I love the soft tones, the fairytale quality of the story it tells. Any child (me!) would want to walk right into that story. Delicious.
