We recently challenged ourselves to take a photo of a treasured older item — possibly one that might seem odd, to other people, for us to have kept. Here’s mine. And yes, there’s a story behind it.

Thanks, Allison and Cheryl. I’m going to post another photo tomorrow to show the actual size of this chest, and I’ll share the story then. I photographed it in front of ivy leaves to hint at its size — it really is tiny. 🙂
This is a sweet treasure indeed! And so shiny. But I am flummoxed by the contents. At first I thought the chest contained a sponge — though it is far classier than that. What is inside?
